We love animals in every way. They can just be sitting there and doing absolutely nothing, but for us humans, they’re cute and cuddly, and we’re happy to see them. But, then there are times when your pets are doing funny things that make us adore them even more! For example, dogs are infamous for trying to have conversations with their owners and throwing fits over not wanting to visit the vet. Some are even good at singing. But, the animal in question today is a kitty, and it is pretty good at dancing.
Okay, I admit that this cute little ball of fluff may not actually be musically inclined, but in my opinion, it doesn’t make Winnie the shelter kitten any less adorable. Sure, she’s following something moving back and forth in her human’s hand, but I could watch a cat play like that for hours, music or no music.
It’s hard to deny that ‘Uptown Funk’ by Bruno Mars has an upbeat quality that makes anyone want to get up and dance. Sometimes, on those long days, when the afternoon slump hits and you can barely keep your eyes open and hold your head up off your desk, it’s songs like this that get your heart pumping and your body moving—even if it’s just a little wiggle in your chair. The song may have been a bit overplayed, but I still love it.
So, an adorable kitten, combined with one of the most infectiously energetic songs out there, means smiles all around. You can also feel better knowing that Winnie, the striped kitten in the video, is spreading awareness of cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies that are in shelters around the country.
Maybe you already have a pet in your home, or you’re thinking about adopting, the chances are that there is the perfect animal out there for you and your family. That pet may be waiting for you at a nearby animal shelter or a local rescue organization. Shelters and rescues have cats and dogs of all ages and sizes, purebreds and mixed breeds, and everything from lazy couch potatoes to bouncy, energetic constant companions. And of course, there are cute kittens just like Winnie.
