Couple Plays “Pink Panther” On Giant Piano With Feet And Stops Passersby In Their Tracks

Playing the piano with your fingers takes a lot of dedication and practice — countless hours, and intricate patterns and movements of the hands across all 88 keys. And practice! Ohhhh, the practice! But once everything comes together, beautiful music is made and heard and remembered. Now take this idea, this traditional way of playing the piano sitting down with your hands, and flip it around! Imagine a keyboard on the ground, and played with your feet! While it’s not as complicated or challenging as playing a piece by Mozart, this groovy floor piano is something else and requires some quick movement!

Silvia Zotto and Leo Moreno are members of the Italian pop-up performance group called the Il Grande Piano which means “The Big Piano.” These two are bobbing around, up and down the ground piano entertaining passers-by with their zany idea that is just too cool not to stop and look!

Manual Benyacar del Faber Teatro took this concept of the piano and replicated it to create a fun instrument that’s portable and easy to assemble.

And it gets better once they play the first two notes of a very recognizable song. A song that gets everyone clapping and excited. It’s the crowd-pleasing “Pink Panther” that immediately hits home, played on the piano, that draws inspiration from Tom Hanks’ movie “Big.”

The couple, Leo wearing a nice shirt, black pants and a bow tie, and Silvia donning a flowing white haltered dress, shows some very fancy footwork as they spin and stomp on the keys. They are dressed to the nines, but are both missing their shoes! These two natural performers are the life of the party dancing up a storm in bare feet and clearly loving it.

This video may remind you of the one that we shared a few months back — Sandra Bullock was on a popular TV show showing off some of her fancy footwork with on a piano, as well! I guess creative minds think alike!
