Patrick Swayze Performs A Beautiful Dance Routine With His Wife

Everyone knows Patrick Swayze for his stellar performances in the 80’s and 90’s; he was the heartthrob of many and is well-known for his acts in movies like “Ghost” and “Road House.” But the film that stands out the most for his fans is “Dirty Dancing.”

Aside from his performance, fans noticed that Patrick is also a brilliant dancer. He trained in classical ballet in high school, and many may not know that he is the son of a choreographer. His dance skills were visible after his appearance in “Dirty Dancing, ” but he also came in front of a live audience to grace the stage with his moves; he performed at the World Music Awards in 1994, alongside his wife.

In the video below, you’ll see Patrick and his wife, Lisa Niemi, dance to Whitney Houston’s “All the Man that I Need”; they tell a captivating love story with through their dance. Patrick and Lisa were married for 34 years before the star lost his battle to pancreatic cancer in 2009.

Patrick was diagnosed in 2007 but he was so passionate about his work that he continued to film through his illness. Numerous tabloids suggested that he wouldn’t be able to live long and that his health was deteriorating, but he continued to actively work, making it seem to the public that he was fully fit. Things took a turn for the worst in 2009, post Patrick’s bout with pneumonia.

He is survived by his Lisa, and their love story is one for the books. The two were inseparable and shared a 34-year-long marriage. Something like this relationship is almost unheard of in Hollywood. The love between the two is visible in the performance below; you can see their dance moves are flowing like liquid, easily and very intimately. The two look very comfortable in each others’ company as husband and wife and as dance partners. The two met when Lisa was 14, and Patrick 18; she was learning dance from his mother.

This video is going viral for all the right reasons, eight years after Patrick lost his life, and the audience is loving it.
