Little Dancers In Pink Finally Impress Simon When They Change Outfits

“Britain’s Got Talent” judges have seen it all — almost. That’s why if you’ve got something to bring to the table, it better be original, surprising or downright amazing. Anything short of spectacular will just fall short. As a contestant, you have to be memorable, able to set yourself apart from the stiff competition. Any way you can differentiate yourself will get you an in with the big wigs!

That’s what’s so great about this tiny girl troupe, “QT.” They appear one way, but then pull a move that surprises and delights everyone. What you see isn’t what you get with this itty bitty crew, and thank goodness, because that’s what got them all four yeses from the judges – including a happy-to-be-proven wrong Simon!

The judges are ready and waiting as 14 small girls aged 6-10 grace the stage. They stream in and speak in unison with their little voices to the panel. “Hiii…we’re QT crew!” Alesha asks the troupe what they’d do with the money if they won, and one girl replies, “…we’d go on holiday with no mums or dads…” Of course, everyone bursts into hysterics, but these girls are serious, and have a trick up their sleeves.

Dressed in head to toe pink sequins and pink bows in their hair, the group starts to dance and bop around to the 1965 Millie Small song, “My Boy Lollipop.” Immediately, the look of hope on Simon’s face vanishes. He appears bored, and totally disinterested, his eyes nearly rolling into the back of his head. He’s clearly bored. This reaction is usually expected from the tough critic, though — it takes a lot to impress Simon and it seems like these girls weren’t able to do so in the first few seconds of their routine!

But, just as things are starting to look bleak, the music changes. The girls face the back of the stage and their cutesy dance moves change after they shed their tried and true look for something more surprising. It’s this unforeseen outfit change that spices up the performance, their routine taking on a more daring approach. Way to go QT Crew for exceeding expectations and bringing that little extra something-something!

What did you think this group’s fate would be? Did you think they’d be buzzed off the stage before they could prove their skill? Tell us in the comments!
