For those who love to travel, or those who do so for long periods of time for work, you know all about how hard it can be. Some don’t get the opportunity to come home very often, others spend a lot of their time missing their loved ones dearly. So when an opportunity comes around for you to go home for a holiday or a little visit, you’re usually filled with feelings of happiness, excitement, and elation—and rightly so.
But just for a second, think about those who have ever had to experience a loved one leaving. It could be your best friend, your sibling, a parent, or even a partner. Who ever it may be, it is just as tough for them as it is for the one leaving. You have to have the dreaded ‘goodbye’ filled with tears and sadness—it’s really not for the faint hearted. Adversely, when someone comes back home, all those bad feelings go away! Yay!
In this video, you’ll see just how taxing being apart from someone you love can be. A girl is sitting on the rug at home one afternoon when her older brother, who is serving in the US military, comes through the door and stands right before her. As she looks up, she gets the biggest fright of her life and jumps up immediately. She then persists to wrap her legs around him and hug him tightly with tears streaming down her face.
