Twin Babies Make Eye Contact While Deep In Conversation

The relationship between two siblings is undeniable. Sure, your brother or sister tends to get on your last nerve from time to time, but at the end of the day the pair of you are blood relatives, and you’ll always have that (and hopefully a fruitful relationship) keeping you together.

I have always been close to my siblings. Growing up, we’d do everything together and even today we try to meet as much as possible and go on fun adventures! My brother and I even look alike, so much so that people sometimes confuse us as twins! Do you know how many times people have stopped us in our tracks and asked, “Hey are you guys twins?” There are days where we’ll be honest, but on the rare occasion, we just said “Yes we are,” and moved on! No one would even know!

After being so close to my own siblings, I can only imagine the bond that twins share with each other. I have a feeling that it is arguably ten times stronger than that of regular siblings. In fact, it seems as though twins can communicate with each other before they’ve even learned how to talk! They’ve even got a name for the secret language — cryptophasia. This usually comes about due to the copious amount of time that twins tend to spend together, as well as the fact that they go through the same developmental stages at the same time. It’s truly a wonder to watch twins interact with one another. I’ve seen it happen a couple of times, and it amazes me.

In the video below, you’ll see the most adorable twins sitting opposite one another. With the one dressed in pink and the other in blue, these two have the most intense conversation using their specialized baby talk. They laugh, they listen intently, and they even speak in unison when it counts. One can only imagine all of the interesting stories that these two infants are telling!

The two cuties go by the names of Merle and Stijn, and the lovely video of them has gained more than 20 million views! It’s such a blessing that their father managed to capture this adorable encounter on film!

Do you think twins can actually understand one another better? Tell us in the comments! We’d love to hear from you.
