When I was a child, I always wished I had one of those fancy inground pools in my backyard. But alas, they were far too expensive, apparently costing in the tens of thousands of dollars. Yikes! So like most kids, I settled for trips to the always-crowded local public swimming pools. It was still fun, but how cool would it be to have a pool of your own?
Well, a father in Brazil named Jose Franco had enough of his children begging him for a backyard pool. Jose wanted to give his family an amazing fun-filled summer. He couldn’t afford an in-ground pool but what he lacked in cash, he made up for in creativity and craftiness! Jose bought one of those inexpensive walled above-ground pools with plastic wall and transformed it into something that made all of his neighbours jealous.
Franco puts together an inexpensive above-ground pool and puts it on a tarp. Nothing too special, right? Oh, but Franco is just getting started…
He then builds a wooden support system to keep the pool in place. Notice how it’s leveled with the top of the pool?
Once the pool is secured, Franco adds beautiful planks of wood to create a deck.
