Woman Wakeboards With Dolphins Around Her

If you’re anything like me, you absolutely adore the ocean. The way in which the waves crash against the sand, the smell, the view, how the water feels against your skin—it’s just a treat for all of your senses. And while there are many that feel slightly anxious about going into the water, it really is just an absolute delight to take a swim on a hot summer’s day.

What’s even more fun to do, is to participate in various water sports. To be able to surf, wind surf, jet ski or snorkel on a regular occasion must simply be a dream come true. Imagine living on an island and having access to all of this all the time? What’s even more dream-worthy is when you happen to find a school of dolphins swimming, while in the ocean. And that’s exactly what happened to Rachel Callahan whilst wakeboarding with her friend, Wyatt Miller.

The video was recorded in 2013 in the Sea of Cortez and shows Callahan boarding effortlessly with dolphins who decided to join in on the fun. The video, shot by Miller, has reached an astounding 18,954 hits on YouTube, which didn’t surprise him at all as he claimed, “We’re going to make a YouTube sensation out of this!”

Additionally, he explained, “If I had a GoPro on me, you would be able to see that there were dolphins surrounding me under water, jumping beside me, and going in front of me.” Miller also admitted that the dolphins stuck around for several hours after filming and that he wished they would take him “away with them to become a mermaid or something.”

These dolphins are seriously a sight to behold. I would love to experience something like this for myself!

How completely amazing is that? How would you feel if you were surrounded by dolphins? Let us know in the comments!
