Bullied Girl Catches Boy From School On Driveway. The Moment His Mouth Opens, She’s Confused.

Looking back, growing up is rough. You’re in a constant state of flux, learning more and more about who you are, jumping through the hoops that each new day throws at you. You’re balancing family life, trying to make friends, trying to understand the difference between good influences and bad influences, juggling schoolwork and figuring out where you fit in the world. And, your changing body doesn’t help either!

There are so many moving parts and opportunities to feel vulnerable and not good enough. Kids don’t know any better, and that’s when bullying becomes a problem.

This girl in El Paso, Texas, USA, just recently left her hometown with her family. A fresh beginning is usually exciting, full of new places to discover and friends to make. But, when she arrived, she quickly realized she was in for a little more than she bargained for. Making friends with people who had already found their circles was challenging. She did, however, make fast friends with one little boy in her class.

On this particular day, the girl encountered a tough situation where a group of other girls at her school ganged up on her, bullying her and making her feel like she wasn’t good enough. Feeling down and out, and lonely at home, she called the boy hoping to have someone to talk to. But, what happens next goes beyond anything she imagined he would do for her.

With a little help from mom, Ruby Jimenez, the boy came up with a sure-fire plan to cheer up his friend. He and mom jumped in the car, drove to the girl’s house knocked on her door, and when she came out, he was ready for her.

The boy is standing in front of the confused girl with the van behind him blaring Bruno Mars’ “Count On Me.” He lip-syncs the entire song, just for her! It’s a lovely spur of the moment performance to lift up his friend from feeling down in the dumps and to remind her that she’s got a good pal whenever she needs one. The best part? At the end of the song, he sprints up to her and gives her the biggest hug he can muster! I hope she feels 100 times better!
