Here’s The Most Effective Way To Clean Your Keurig

For many, coffee is the first thing we crave in the morning. The delicious aroma, the way it makes us feel, and just the sheer beauty of it is enough to get anyone feeling energetic and motivated. These very reasons are why you’ll find a coffee maker in nearly every household around the world. And as much as coffee is loved and adored, cleaning up is sometimes a hassle. But stress no more, we’ve found the easiest and most effective way to clean your beloved Keurig.

Firstly, all you need is some water, vinegar, and a clean dry or damp cloth. Then, you do as follows: Unplug your coffee machine, remove all of the washable parts (the water holder, K-cup holder at the top, and the drip tray at the bottom), and let them soak then wash them in warm water. Then, give the rest of the parts a good clean with your cloth.

Then, once everything is clean and dry, put the machine back together and plug it in. Fill the water holder with enough vinegar to make at least four cups of coffee, and start the brewing cycle without the K-cup. Empty the vinegar into a mug, and repeat until the container is empty.

After this, leave the machine on for four hours. By doing this, you’re allowing the residual vinegar to clear away any leftover gunk. Then, repeat the process—this time, with water instead of vinegar. This is an important step, as it will clean your machine of any leftover vinegar. And voila! You have yourself a clean coffee maker!
