Over the last several years, there has been a considerable increase in anti-police sentiment from the public. Cases of corruption and brutality have caused a lot of people to criticize members of the police force, and this lack of support is definitely not lost on them. Officer Rance Quinn has been protecting and serving for over 20 years and explained to news channel WDAF that “It just seems like there’s a lot of anti-police type of activity going on […] I know we’re unwanted but it makes us feel like we’re under-appreciated.”
What many people seem to forget is that while there are certainly some bad cops, there are far more good ones. A lot of great police officers that never make it into the newspapers, but they put their lives on the lines every day to protect our safety.
So when Officer Rance Quinn was having lunch at Chili’s with Captain George Sims, he was dumbfounded when a teenager dropped off a napkin at their table before casually walking away. When they looked at the napkin, they saw this…

They wanted to thank the teen for the small but very meaningful gesture, but she and her family had already left. But that appeared to have set off a chain of events, and the story has gone viral!
