Two Cowboys Leave Waitress A Note On Receipt With Generous Tip

For anyone that works in a restaurant, you know how important a good tip can be. You work so hard throughout the day to provide excellent customer service to each table you wait, and a well-deserved tip can really go a long way. Well something similar happened to a young lady named Rosalynd Haris at Busboys & Poets in Washington D.C..

Rosalynd was busy going about her day at the restaurant when she finished waiting a table of two White Texan men, (not) surprisingly wearing cowboy hats. The men were in town for the inauguration of the newest President of the United States.

The waitress said that things could have gone downhill with these two customers because of the color of her skin and their political ideals, but instead the men ended up making her day much brighter than she could possibly expect.

After the two left, Rosalynd noticed that they had paid their bill, left her with a $450 tip, and also a very heartwarming note. The note read: ““We may come from different cultures and may disagree on certain issues, but if everyone would share their smile and kindness like your beautiful smile, our country will come together as one people. Not race. Not gender. Just American. God Bless!” Now that’s a very kind gesture, and some great words to go by!

Rosalynd had been looking to move into a new place and says that this tip can go a long way in taking off some of the financial pressure.

Busboys and Poets is a socially forward restaurant that inspires art, compassion, and change. These cowboys really lived true to the essence of eatery in giving Rosalynd such a generous tip and a great message to live by!
