How To Make Buffalo Chicken Dip In A Crockpot

If there’s something I look forward to every weekend, it has to be experimenting with various recipes in my free time. I love to open up a cookbook and see if there’s anything fun I can make and then serve it to the company I’ve invited later at night. It just keeps things interesting.

I think one of the easiest things I enjoy making is a good dip — a dip for veggies, chicken wings, or tortillas. I think I’m also biased because I love dips! Now, I’ve made a number of different types over the years, but something that I haven’t tried is the one that we’re sharing below!

The interesting thing about the recipe for the buffalo chicken dip is that it’s made in a crockpot. Yes, you read that right, CROCKPOT. Just when you thought that your favorite pot couldn’t get any more versatile, it just did! Everyone knows that you can make pretty much anything in the crockpot. You just throw all your ingredients in at one time and off you go. Sure, it takes a little bit longer than usual to get the job done, but the results are absolutely delicious! Wouldn’t you agree?

Getting right into the recipe now, here’s what you’ll need to get started:

  • 8 oz bag of Monterey cheese, shredded
  • 8 oz bag of sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 3 8-oz blocks of plain cream cheese
  • Frank’s Red Hot
  • ranch dressing
  • 4 large boneless chicken breasts, boiled and shredded

Now that you have all your ingredients in check, let’s get started with the directions.

If you’re an avid crockpot user then you know that the directions are quite simple. All you have to do is put all these ingredients into the pot, seal it shut, and let it cook on high for 90-120 minutes. As soon as the timer is up, you’ll notice that you’re in for a nice, creamy treat!

You can serve this dip with veggies, plain chips, baked/friend tortillas — the possibilities are endless.

What are some other things that you always cook in your crockpot? Tell us in the comments, we’d love to know more about what’s cooking in your kitchen! My go-to crockpot recipe has to be my famous lentil soup! I can’t make it in anything but my trusted crockpot!
