How well do you know yourself? More specifically, do you know where you come from? “I’m American, but my family comes from Italy.” A response of this nature is fairly common. Most people seem to think they have a good understanding of their ancestry and they don’t really think twice about it. It’s a conclusion that they’ve likely reached based on information passed down through family members. But what if someone told you that you were wrong? What if it turns out that some pieces of information got lost or distorted as it was passed down the many generations of your bloodline?

Momondo presents to you The DNA Journey, an incredible journey into who we truly are. By looking into our very own DNA, we can learn a lot more about our past. And in most cases, we’ll learn that we are far more connected to other nationalities than we may have originally thought.
In this very emotional video, we meet several people who talk about their background. They’re then asked to spit in a tube so that their DNA can be tested. Two weeks later, it’s revealed exactly where they all came from. Let’s just say it’s a shocker but there’s a very important lesson to be learned from this.
