When She Sees This Homeless Man’s Surprising Sign, She Has To Stop And Help.

If you’re a pet owner, especially a dog owner like me, this story will hit you particularly hard. I can’t imagine having one of my dogs taken away and not have the means to get them back. Sometimes, when you have nothing else, or even when you have everything, a canine companion can be the most important thing in your universe.

When Wilma Price noticed a homeless man holding a sign in Wal-Mart parking lot, she knew she had to stop and help. She had seen plenty of homeless people with signs before, but this one touched her heart. The sign read “Dog in pound need help”.

Wilma realized that she would do whatever she could to help this man get his dog back. He had collected some money, but it was not even close to the $120 he would need to free best friend, little Fred Frederick, from the pound.

Wilma Price noticed this homeless man’s unusual sign that read: “Dog in pound need help.”

Initially, she was surprised at the amount of money that was required. It turned out that the pound charged $35 for the impoundment fee and they had given the dog a rabies shot, heartworm test, and flea protection. All good things, but they added up.

Wilma wanted desperately to help but realized that she herself had only $8 to her name and wasn’t sure what she could do. She gave the man her card and a promise to do whatever she could. What happened next, is truly incredible…
