Rescuers Save Stranded Donkey And Animal Thanks Them With A Big Grin

Believe it or not, animals have very similar reactions and feelings as us humans. They feel pain and happiness just like we do, even though they may not be able to express it as vocally as your average person. Like ordinary people though, animals also have instincts of being thankful, and there have been many stories we’ve shared in the past, that show how animals have said thank you to their rescuers.

The video in this post is one of a donkey being rescued by Suzanne Gibbons of Animal Heaven Animal Rescue; the donkey was stranded in the middle of flood waters in Killorglin, Ireland, after a storm broke down a gate, causing the donkey to escape.

The donkey’s worried owner contacted Suzanne asking for help when it got trapped in flood waters. Suzanne didn’t waste any time and quickly took to social media to see who could help her out. To rescue the donkey, she needed a boat, some strong people, and some rope. The response she got was so overwhelming; people were pouring in to help, saying they have all the resources to help!

Suzanne and Mike, the volunteer, set out to help the distressed donkey and decided to record the rescue as well. They put a  life preserver around the animal’s neck and attached it to the rope. The donkey was then led to safety.

Although the rescue was an amazing accomplishment, the best part of the entire mission was seeing how grateful the animal was. After reaching safety, it had the biggest smile on its face, and the rescuers couldn’t get enough of it!

Watch the rescue in the video below and don’t forget to like and share this post with family and friends!
