I must have cracked open well over a thousand eggs in my lifetime, and there are plenty more to come. But I recall a while back when I was out vacationing in a small town and something caught my attention when I was served some eggs sunny side up for breakfast. The egg yolks were much darker and redder than what I was used to. “Is this from a chicken?” I thought to myself. I went ahead and ate it (and yes, they were delicious!) and I never thought too much more of it. [googlead]But recently, I came across this video that explains why chicken egg yolks can be different colours. Apparently, the yolk’s colour can be a good indicator of a chicken’s health. Check it out… you may never look at your eggs the same way again!
