Everyone loves a vacation—everything from the planning process to actually experiencing your entire itinerary unfold is so exciting. And I think it’s safe to say that the anticipation builds up quite intensely when you’re going to a place like Greece, right? The country is so rich in culture, history, and hands down has some of the most amazing foods to try! How about a bit of tzatziki sauce with almost everything you eat!?
The people who made the following video are on the island of Crete, probably experiencing just about everything that we discussed above, and much more! And with all that they got a chance to delve in while on their holiday, they caught quite an epic moment on camera! While exploring the island, this family ends up at Port of Chania near some boats and decides to take a peek into the water.
And what do they see as they casually glance in? An endangered sea turtle, and the entire family is quite excited to see it. The turtle is seen gracefully swimming underwater between the boats parked at the dock. But the reason why this is such a sight is because it’s rare. Although turtles aren’t at the point of being endangered (thankfully), these sea turtles unfortunately have a different fate; this species of turtles is most threatened by humans and can reach the point of extinction in the future.
Listen carefully to how excited the children in this video are to see this rare animal! And they’re actually quite lucky—the turtle makes a small appearance at the top of the water and slightly grazes the surface. A true treat for the tourists!
