We’ve had a lot of crazy water related videos on Metaspoon, from the dolphins that began swimming with a wakeboarder to the seal that interrupted a surfer and tried to get on his board, but we’ve never seen something quite like the video you are about to see.
There’s nothing quite like taking a boat ride to go fishing on a beautiful, quiet day. Fishing is so relaxing, nothing but you, nature family and friends. One could even say it’s one of the most relaxing activities ever, right? To some maybe even boring. One family in Western Central Illinois would most certainly disagree with that statement. This is a bit of an understatement, but things didn’t go quite as expected for them.
This family was out fishing in the Spoon River, having a nice relaxed day, a dad with all his boys, when something completely unexpected and shocking occurred. On their way back home, all of a sudden fish started literally jumping out of the water. The fish jumped so high many of them even jumped onto the boat.
The sight was incredible! You could tell in the kids and even the father’s face that this was not normal.This crazy phenomenon went on for almost a whole minute! By the time they crossed over this section of the river, over 70 Asian Carp had come out shooting out of the water! Apparently, one of the boys (not visible in the video) was curled up in the fetal position during the ordeal. Yikes! I would have been scared as well. It’s a pretty incredible thing to watch but one can only imagine actually experiencing this in person!
