So just what the heck did this kid want that he couldn’t wait until the end of the ceremony? What could possibly be so important that he felt it necessary to disrupt such an important event!? This is definitely a party foul if I ever saw one.
Or maybe not. As it turned out, perhaps he did have a good reason after all.
“Going to the chapel and we’re gonna get married…”
Everyone’s attention turned to the young man as he began belting out “Chapel of Love” by The Dixie Cups. It took a while for guests to get over the initial shock and absorb what was going on. A nice gesture, I guess, but a bit unusual…
Then the girl beside him jumped up and joined in on the surprise performance. And then the kids behind them joined in too.
Before they knew it, they had a group of kids singing Chapel of Love!
Shannon wanted to do something extra special for her wedding and surprise her guests with an endearing musical flash mob. Accordingly, Shannon got in touch with the Music Depot (now known as Music and Performance Niagara) about the idea and they were more than happy to fulfill her request! Students from the Music Depot spent two months practicing for this incredible performance.
But wait… they weren’t done yet! How about some instrumentals?
The wedding had a full-fledged flash mob on their hands. And everyone was loving it! I think we can all agree that their hard work paid off! The reaction from the crowd says it all. It was definitely a moment that the bride and groom would undoubtedly cherish for the rest of their lives.
