There are many songs that leave a long-lasting impression on those who hear it. That is because music really is a powerful tool, evoking a large array of strong feelings and emotions. So, when we’re able to hear a song that sets our soul on fire, we’re happy to sing along, feel the beat and enjoy the whole experience. That’s the exact reason musicians create music, right?
But, when an absolute classic is recreated, we tend to feel somewhat apprehensive. Perhaps we’re worried that the artist may not do the song any justice. Today, we’re happy to tell you that that is definitely not the case. In fact, you’ll hear a version of the song, “Sound of Silence” by Simon and Garfunkel sang by a young girl named Jadyn Rylee who is only 11 years old.
In the video below, you will see Jadyn standing before a microphone, waiting patiently to sing the lyrics to the classic song. As she begins, you hear the soft, sweet tones that make up her amazingly talented singing voice. And as the song continues, the emotions can really be felt through her sound as well as her passionate facial expressions.
The video, that was uploaded onto YouTube on May, 1st 2017, has already been viewed almost three million times and has received several positive and encouraging comments such as, “Hey Jayden, that was an amazing song. Simon and Garfunkel would be proud,” and “Goosebumps. It’s rare for me even to come close to that. She’s a treasure.”
It is safe to say that this girl truly has the vocal ability to create music that will send shivers down your spine and bring a smile to your face. Time will only tell what amazing things she will do in the future.
