Grandma Busts Dance Moves At An Outdoor Concert

I think I’m an alright dancer. I’m pretty sure I can move to the beat of the music, and throw down some smooth moves. I’ve never been told I’m no good, and it always feels good when I’m moving. Either way, I’m not going to stop! Whether I’ve got my moves down pat or it just looks like I have no control over my limbs, dancing just feels fantastic and there’s no sense in stopping.

This grandma knows exactly what I’m talking about. She’s feeling the music and not letting anyone or anything stop her or get in her way. And, quite honestly, she rocks it. I think she dances better than most people I know, her moves tight and calculated. She has, without a doubt, got style and grace and technique that sets her apart.

Here she is, standing to the side of the concert venue in a little world of her own. She’s dressed in warm clothing that’s head-to-toe pink — from her hat to her mittens to her socks. She’s got a scooter and cane behind her, unused and resting against the wall, two indications that she’s already not your average grandma!

The moment Eurythmics’ “Sweet Dreams” comes on, grandma is all over it. She’s sassy and has an attitude. She’s popping and locking and dancing in a very contemporary style that’s hip and cool. She is totally the epitome of cool. She makes me wonder if my gran could move like that!

She’s using her entire body, moving her legs, reaching her arms — even her shoulders, neck and head are a part of the routine! She’s pointing out to people near her, trying to include her audience into her impromptu routine. And, the expression on her face? She’s over the moon and totally in her comfort zone. There isn’t an ounce of ego or shred of nerves. She’s totally immersed into the music, swaying from side to side. Even the father and daughter walking by don’t seem to faze her. This woman is on fire and I loved watching every second of her performance. Please, someone, get her a real stage!

I can see grandma trying to compete on “America’s Got Talent” in the next season — you go, Gran!
