Man Parades Into Store With His Horse And He’s Not Breaking Any Rules

In honor of this hilarious video that was posted on Facebook, I’m going to share a personal story about my teenage years. You see, it’s not only this old cowboy who decided it was a good idea to bring a horse inside a public building. My brother’s senior prank in high school falls along similar lines.

It was a tradition in our high school for the senior class to pull a “senior prank” at the end of the school year. They varied in execution but usually managed to disrupt the school day in some way. My brother, who is two years older than me, decided that for his senior prank he would ride one of our horses through the school; of course, I wanted in on the action.

Early in the morning, we drove his favorite horse in the truck and trailer and parked nearby the school. We waited until just before the first bell when the halls would be full and he unloaded the trailer, mounted up, and I opened the doors. To the amazement of students and teachers, he made a relaxed trip through the school and out a different door. I met him there with the trailer and we loaded up and took off.

Now, I don’t recommend this at all. We were both severely disciplined and were reminded that it could have gone very wrong and people could have been injured. But, at the end of the day, it went smoothly and my brother finished his high school days as something of a legend.

In this video, an older cowboy also brings his horse into a building, but he asked permission first.

“Only in Oklahoma!” a Facebook post reads. “Gentleman walks into tractor supply and says I’m a senior here to buy senior horse feed for my senior horse. Can he come in?”

One of the store employees asked the boss and his response is too funny! The manager said, “Well technically our sign on the front door does say ‘all pets welcome, must be on a leash’! And, a bridle is a leash for a horse!”

One could argue again that this could be potentially unsafe, but just like my brother’s horse way back in high school, this guy looks pretty relaxed about the whole thing. The video has since gone viral and people can’t get enough of the cowboy and his “pet.”
