The sound of an ice cream truck is unmistakable. When you hear it, you’re essentially hearing the promise of delicious frozen treats that will provide you with sweet relief from the hot and humid weather. And so we run and chase these trucks down, even though it’s probably cheaper to just buy ice cream and popsicles in bulk at the local grocery store and keep them in your own freezer. When I was a child, I probably spent way too much money buying Fudgcicles and Rocket popsicles from ice cream trucks… I just couldn’t help myself. It was like a moth being drawn to a flame.
Now that I’m older, I like to think that I’m much more disciplined but the truth is that I’m still incredibly tempted whenever I hear that ice cream truck sound. Pavlovian much?
A video has been making the rounds on the internet of a certain someone who simply can’t refuse the call of the four-wheeled temptress. And that’s because that certain someone happens to be a pit bull. When he hears the ice cream truck music, life as he knows it stops. The only thing that matters is ice cream so he comes running over to the truck but to his dismay, someone else has already beaten him to it. So being the polite and courteous dog that he is, he sits patiently in line for what must feel like an eternity. Will this sweet dog ever get his ice cream!?
