Sadly, growing up in a household with Hollywood parents wasn’t easy for Jamie. Although her parents were known as Hollywood’s “golden couple” there was a lot of friction stemming from her mother’s obsession with money and her father’s infidelity. In fact, Jamie was told that she was conceived as an attempt to save their relationship. But in 1962, the pair divorced.
Jamie was estranged from her father Tony for most of her life and stated the following about him: “He was not a father and he was not interested in being a father.” Tony never disputed Jamie’s criticisms, admitting that he was a lousy dad. When Tony passed away in 2010, he didn’t leave single cent of his fortune to any of his children. His fortune was estimated to be worth about $60 million.

6. She’s been happily married to Christopher Guest since 1984.
In 1996, Christopher became the 5th Barony of Haden-Guest. As a result, Jamie became the Lady Haden-Guest.
7. She knew that Christopher Guest was the love of her life before she even met him.
Jamie saw a photo of Christopher from the movie This is Spinal Tap and she told her friend “I’m going to marry that man.”
