See How To Make These Cool DIY Nightlights For The Kids With Stuff You Already Have!

In my home, we try to be good about shutting off the lights when we really don’t need them. But sometimes, the kids wants just a bit of light so that they don’t find themselves in complete darkness. You can use candles, but they’re not really something you want to leave unattended because they could prove to be a fire hazard. So that’s why one mom got crafty and came up with this super cool DIY project! [googlead]Using glass bottles and jars and some party glowsticks (you can usually find them at dollar stores such as Dollar Tree), Mom made these really fun and colourful ambient lamps for less than $10! Check out the instructions below and let us know if you try this out. It’s great for the kids or if you’re throwing a party!

1. Get some empty glass jars and bottles and clean them out.

2. Wear some disposable gloves and grab a pair of scissors to cut the glowsticks.

3. Bend and snap the glowsticks to activate the glowing chemicals. Now carefully cut the ends of the sticks and let the liquid drip into the jars.

4. Try to get the liquids along the sides and be careful not to spill! You’ll probably need more than one stick per jar.

5. And you’re done! You should already see the jars glowing. You can use them as vases during the day and then watch them come alive at night!
