I love weddings for everything that they are. They’re glamorous, they’re fun, and they definitely can be a great place to munch on some of the best food. So, all-in-all, when I’m invited to a wedding, you won’t hear me complaining one bit. I like to be in a room full of people who are celebrating love and togetherness, honoring the couple of the hour, and are ready to shake a leg on the dance floor. Because really, who doesn’t?
Now, I’ve been to so many weddings that I’ve lost count and if there’s something that usually sticks out to me (other than the food) is the kind of entertainment the party had to offer. I’ve been to parties where people have performed choreographed dance routines, and where the bride has even jumped on the dance floor and given a surprise performance—love it! But, nowadays it’s usually not just the bridal party that’s full of fun dance moves.
Modern-day trends show that even the classical mother-groom dance has taken a turn. People are showing a whole lot of creativity when it comes to planning these dances; it’s not just a slow dance between a mother and her newlywed son. For everyone that prefers the traditional dance, there still are so many people that do it, so please don’t be disappointed; and for everyone who likes a bit of upbeat dancing, then the video below is just for you.
The mom and her son start off as if they’re going to dance to their song traditionally and give up the dance floor for the crowd to take over. But, then watch when the music suddenly turns off. Before you get too disappointed, the mom-son duo bust into a fun choreographed dance that has the crowd cheering out loud!
This video reminds me of all the fun parent-child dances I’ve seen in the past! In many cultural weddings, I’ve seen that dance performances are common. I’ve seen the groom do a surprise dance for his bride and vice versa! I’ve even seen a bride make a surprise entry into a dance performance done by the bridesmaids — the groom was completely taken by surprise. All-in-all, it’s great to see these dances wedding after wedding! They keep things fun, interesting, and entertaining.
