4 Performances Of Talented Kid Singers

Have you ever met a child with the skills and talent that you thought no kid could really have? It’s not like you think they’re not good enough, but you feel that they’re so tiny and all they can really know and understand are the basics of what is taught in school, how to play their favorite sport, and think about what they want for lunch the next day.

Well, the kids we’re about to share with you in the videos below are definitely more talented than what you’d expect from their ages. They all like to sing and proving their skills on various platforms — TV talent shows, the school stage, and even on YouTube!

1. Giedie Laroco

What would you expect from a 13-year-old teenaged girl? Homework, gossip, and a whole lot of pop music, right? Well, 13-year-old Giedie is here to show you that she’s more than what you think.

The teenager takes to “The Voice Kids Philipines” and gives it her all when she decides to sing a powerful yet difficult song — Celine Dion’s “Power of Love.” Of course, we all know that it’s hard to come close to Celine’s vocals, let alone match her voice and range. So, at first thought, it’s difficult to imagine how well this act could go.

But, as soon as Giedie opens her mouth to sing, you know she’s good because one of the judges immediately presses the button to turn around. This was under five seconds, and we’re sure the judge just wanted to see who was on stage and about to cause an uproar with her powerful voice.

2. Rhonda And Shaye

It takes a lot of nerve and effort to sign up for a talent show at school. Not only are you going to be performing an act in front of all these people, but the audience is also a room full of your friends, teachers, and sometimes even family; and the younger you are, the more afraid you are of being judged.

Rhonda fought through the anxiety and got on stage to do what she does best: sing. She started singing “Rise Up” by Andra Day, but a little bit into her performance, the nerves kicked in and she drew blank. Rhonda stopped mid-song, unable to go on. But, that wasn’t the end.

Noticing that her daughter is experiencing a little bit of stage fright, Rhonda’s mom, Shaye Washington, came through and completed the song for her. Just as the little girl on stage stopped singing, mom picked up the cue and helped finish the act. Now, that’s a hero! Shaye touched everyone in the room. She’s the true winner in the crowd’s eyes!

3. Allie Sherlock

It seems like no one can get enough of Leonard Cohen’s “Hallelujah.” We don’t blame anyone, though! The song is a classic that has everyone feeling their own way, and it’s one that people won’t get sick of any time soon.

Although Leonard’s version is the original and unmatched, other talented singers have sung their own renditions of the tune and remain successful. One of these singers is 12-year-old Allie Sherlock.

The Ireland-born busker bravely set up a microphone and music stand outside of a Dublin shopping area only to begin singing one of the most beautiful covers of “Hallelujah.” She had a guitar that she had only learned to play a few years ago. But, she still takes the song on like it’s nothing and does it full justice.

Watch Allie bring all the passersby to a halt as she magically sings one of the most iconic songs ever.

4. Claire Ryann

I think it’s safe to say that everyone is familiar with the 5-year-old superstar Claire Ryann. This little girl has carved a very successful path for herself in the music and YouTube industry, and a lot of this has to do with her dad. In almost all her videos, the audience can see her dad make an appearance — he’s playing the guitar, singing along, or just in her presence to support his daughter.

The video shared below is one in which both dad and daughter are singing together. It starts with a beautiful spring setting — greenery and pretty pink flowers. Then, Claire begins to sing.

The song she sings is “Peace in Christ,” and it sounds magical. Although it’s obvious that Claire is a little kid, who is singing, you don’t find a voice like hers in a lot of children. She has a commanding presence on the screen and fantastic control over her pitch and tune. She doesn’t falter at any time, and you can tell, that even as a 5-year-old, she’s very confident. It’s also quite evident that the little girl loves to sing.

This performance takes a different, but welcomed, turn when her father joins in for a duet. Her dad’s voice is soothing and high-pitched. His octaves are the perfect complement to Claire’s child-like voice and together, the dad-daughter duo weave magic on screen. Although the two have sung together, on numerous occasions, this video, in particular, is more special. The effects, the song, and the videography set this one apart from all of their other collaborations.
