Many of us learn at a very young age that we show respect when the national anthem is being played. Sadly, many people seem to forget this. Buzz Williams is a basketball coach at Virginia Tech and he was disgusted by the disrespect displayed by athletes during the national anthem. So Williams decided to teach his team an important lesson. [googlead]Williams brought in US veterans gave his players a very sobering reminder of the men and women who fight for their freedom. “These guys, when they were your age, interrupted their life, they paused their education, they changed their career, and they gave their life for those chairs … so when the anthem is played, we’re going to stand like grown men and we’re going to honor men like this, that gave their life, so we can have a chair to sit in.” The clip has gone viral with commenters stating that this video should be shown at all high schools and colleges… we’re inclined to agree!
