Cooking Oil Can Remove Heavy Snow From Various Objects

I’m not completely against the snow and ice. Fresh snow on the ground is really picturesque, and a partially frozen, cracked ice lake can be a cool sight to see (see what I did there?). Otherwise, I love staying inside curled up with a good book, sipping hot chocolate and staying warm and cozy. This is the nice, postcard version of winter.

But then when it gets nasty, it sure does get downright nasty. Snow piles up and all of a sudden you have a big mountain on your driveway. Sometimes there’s even a mini blizzard in the freezer when you haven’t cleaned it out in a while, and it’s accumulated more frost than the North Pole. Winter can creep in at any time.

Spray right through any grievances caused by snow and ice using – cooking spray. That’s right, we’ve got a few simple hacks to help you slip and slide your way through heavy snow and stubborn ice with ease – even if your freezer is acting up in the middle of July.

4. Makes Shoveling Faster And Easier

Those extra wet and heavy snowfalls can leave behind super sticky snow that doesn’t want to budge free from the shovel. Generously spray your shovel (metal is better than plastic) with a thick coating of cooking spray, and watch the snow glide off like a dream!

3. Defrosts Freezer’s Deep Freeze

Scraping and hacking away at inches of built up frost in your freezer is a waste of time. Plus, it’s cold in there! Save yourself the hassle by coating the walls of your freezer (a new or freshly cleaned out freezer) with non-stick cooking spray or glycerin. No sign of Jack Frost here!

2. Prevents Car Doors From Freezing Shut

Winterize your car by spraying the rubber frames of the car doors, and rubbing it in with a paper towel. This will create a layer that prevents the snow from melting into water and seeping into the ridges of the framing and turning into ice overnight.
