Dancer Honors Men And Women Of Service In Performance

It’s true that we all appreciate our service men and women, and really hold all their hard work at the highest esteem—we must rightfully so when they sacrifice so much of their personal lives to ensure that we safe sleep and sound in our homes at the end of every day. But sometimes we don’t always show that appreciation.

There are so many ways we can, and it’s fair to say that so many of us try on a day-to-day basis to gives thanks to these men and women in any way we can. Regardless of what you’re way of saying thanks is, it’s just to say that it goes a long way. Tylar Olsen, a dancer, found a very touching yet creative way to say thank you to officers.

She chose to dance to Paul Harvey’s “Policeman”—as she moves eloquently and beautifully across the stage, you notice that there’s a motionless police officer standing in one corner, right at the back. He continues to stand there throughout her whole performance, which is a combination of the music and Harvey’s powerful narration and words.

At the end of the performance, Tylar goes on to salute all the service men and women. Just when the audience may have thought that performance was over, and she was rightfully deserving of the praise and roaring applause, Tylar does something that touches everyone’s heart. The end of the performance is definitely something to watch for.
