Princess Charlotte Takes A Tumble On A Balcony, Kate Middleton Catches Her Right In Time

Good instincts have always been a paramount trait to have. For instance, our instincts can help us cut ties with bad people and remove ourselves from dangerous situations to protect us, sometimes before we are able to consciously understand what’s going on. Our instincts, reflexes, or gut feelings can also be used to protect other people in our lives.

Sometimes, however, rather than listening to our instincts, we tend to ignore them and do the opposite of what they tell us to do. While it’s true that we can have false gut feelings, the ones that are true are there for a very good reason.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge, or who we often simply refer to as Kate Middleton, certainly had her instincts tested during an annual event, Trooping the Colour.

Each year, Trooping the Colour takes place in London on the second Saturday in June as a second celebration for the Queen’s birthday, which really falls on April 21. Sometimes Trooping the Colour is nicknamed the Queen’s Birthday Parade. June makes for the perfect month for such an event considering the weather in London during this month is usually nice and sunny.

In a video of last year’s Trooping the Colour event, the Royal Family is dressed in their nicest clothes for the big day as they wait for the parade to kick off. During this special ceremony, that has been an important event of the British infantry regiments since the 17th century, the royal onlookers watched as the Royal Air Force planes flew by via the balcony of the Buckingham Palace.

While the adults are eager to watch the ceremony, we witness Princess Charlotte and her cousin Savannah Phillips engaging in a little chit-chat. Not too long later, three-year-old Princess Charlotte takes an unexpected tumble!

Interestingly, Kate, who’s preoccupied with the important event, looks down at her daughter seconds before she falls on the balcony, catching her the split second she slips. Kate is so quick to react that not even Savannah, who was right next to her, saw her slipping until seconds later. Great instincts, Kate!

Although the fall could have been a lot worse if Kate weren’t there to catch her, poor Princess Charlotte seems upset after the event. Fortunately, Kate is able to comfort her as she helps distract her with the event.

Catherine, Duchess of Cambridge is a great mother! Do you agree?

Watch the heart-racing footage in the video below. Thank goodness for Kate’s swift, motherly reflexes!
