Like it or not, the seasons are changing and fall is here again. Personally, fall is my favorite season. I love the crisp mornings and chilly evenings, preferably spent by a bonfire, sipping warm cider, cozied up in a warm sweater, scarf, and a cute pair of boots. I’ve already started obsessively planning my epic Halloween costume. I haven’t settled on anything in particular yet but I can assure you it won’t be nearly as cool or clever as I tried to make it. With all things fall comes all things pumpkin. I’ll share a little secret: I don’t like pumpkin spice anything. “WHAT?!,” you say. Yes it’s true.
But what I lack in love for pumpkin spiced coffee and dog treats (I don’t know if that’s a thing, but if it is, it shouldn’t be), I make up in love for pumpkins, specifically as decorations.
Unfortunately, I have zero artistic talent when it comes to carving pumpkins and they generally end up looking a little sad. So sad, in fact, that my little niece tries to assure me that it looks cool, while trying her best not to laugh at me. NOT THIS YEAR. This year, thanks to a drill and this awesome DIY video, I’m going to have an awesome and unique pumpkin decoration I can be proud of.
