11 Dancers Perform Routine At Airport When Flight Gets Delayed

Ah, the perks of traveling! The opportunity to escape your bubble and your everyday routine to fly across international waters to land in an exotic city. There are so many stunning places and fabulous itineraries to choose from; you can get lost in a medieval city in Europe or, set up shop on a beach in the south pacific. Maybe it’s embarking on a gastronomic adventure through the Mediterranean or, meeting family across the world. How you travel and wherever you travel to, no matter how near, far, thrilling or necessary, there’s always one factor you have to be ready for – delays.

Sometimes they’re totally unavoidable! Other times, your carrier will shoot you a text message giving you the heads up that you’ve got an extra hour. While the latter is a luxury, the former is, unfortunately, a little more common. Haven’t we all spent hours in an airport listlessly hanging around by the gate?

The Funkywunks is an 11 person dance crew from Orlando, Florida, ranging in age from 17-28. Their style is mostly hip-hop but they borrow influences from all sorts of dance genres that add to their unique style and flair. Seriously, these guys have some smooth moves that make them stand out from the rest, plus, they like to add a few flips and tricks! They were on NBC’s “World of Dance” and wowed the judges with their dance style and intricate moves.

So, imagine hearing your flight is delayed, you’re stuck at the airport and just when you’re plagued with the thought of “what am I going to do for an extra hour?!” you suddenly turn your head towards the sound of music, to feast your eyes on 11 guys ready to dance up a storm!

I’d be pretty happy, especially because these dancers know how to put on a show! If you haven’t seen them on “World of Dance,” all you need to know is that they are highly engaging, full of energy, and able to drop moves at the drop of a hat, anywhere – even in this airport corridor. They’re amazing, and their routine set to Bruno Mars’ “Uptown Funk” is a showstopper that created such a scene, everyone stopped to look. Keep an eye out for their soaring jumps and aerial work. At one point, one of the dancers literally jumps over the head of the other to land in front and steal center stage. It’s just wow!
