Woman Uses Real Corn As Nail Art And It’s Raising Eyebrows

I’m a foodie. I love all types of cuisines and styles of food. I’m also a huge lover of veggies! Yep, I was the kid parents never had to tell, “Eat your veggies or go to your room!” I always polished my plate and if I was feeling extra sneaky, I’d offer to eat my friend’s unloved broccoli or neglected cauliflower.

In my world, there’s no such thing as a bad veggie. Even the lesser-loved ones like rutabaga, turnip, radishes, and eggplant – my favorite! These guys, though, have no chance compared to some more popular veg choices, like corn. Who doesn’t like corn? Sweet, buttery, colorful, and if you didn’t think it was fun to eat before, you gotta watch this video.

Nail art seems to be sweeping across pop culture and every other Instagram account. There are so many colors, styles, and things you can do to adorn your fingertips. Want some bling? You can add rhinestones. Want some shine? You can go chrome. Feeling a little peckish? You can stick on real corn kernels for a snack on the go.

Creative, impractical, pretty to look at, totally nuts – I’m not sure what to classify this bold new trend as. Nail Sunny is a nail art chain in Russia, and while their designs might seem outrageous, it’s what they’re known for. “If you have some stupid idea, just tell us about that,” they told Allure Magazine. “We can make a super-cool design after that.”

In the video, it’s hard to see what the model is doing. Clearly, you can make out that she’s eating corn. It’s really not hard to miss. What’s not so clear, however, is that the corn isn’t on a cob, and yet the kernels are still clustered. What’s going on here?

Look a little closer and you’ll notice the model’s fingernails are studded with real corn! She’s munching away and seems to be enjoying every second of it, as she makes her way from one tiny nail cob to the next. The video goes on to the process.

First, her nails are painted with a magnificent yellow. Then, a can of corn is opened and spilled on the counter so the manicurist can select the best-looking kernels for use. Each one is hand chosen, then meticulously placed and secured on to the model’s nails. There are several kernels on each finger, making each one look like there’s a mini cob growing at the end of her hands! This girl must really, really love corn.
