How To Use Rubbing Alcohol And A Toothbrush To Remove Paint Stains

We recently moved to a new home and have been doing a lot of reorganizing. I have been throwing away a lot of the things I was secretly hoarding (teddy bears and magazines from YEARS ago!) and donating many of the old clothes that I know I won’t be wearing anymore. My walk-in closet seems so much spacier now that I’ve gotten rid of a lot of things. One of the other reasons why my new closet probably looks so fresh and clean is because it’s newly painted.

I took it upon myself to decorate the new home and thought that it would be quite easy to paint the walls that I felt needed a bit of a touch-up. It was easy alright, but if there’s something I regret about my paint job, it has to be the mess I made all around. Not only did I have paint all over my clothes but it was also on the hardwood and the rug in the living room. Not fun!

Since this was my DIY project, it’s only fair that I come up with a way to clean all the paint stains too, right? Right! So I got to work and found the easiest way to get rid of the stains! Here’s what I needed:

  • toothbrush
  • rubbing alcohol

I was amazed to know that I can find both of these things right at home, so there wasn’t extra money being spent either! All I had to do now was splatter some rubbing alcohol on the paint stains and rub them off using the toothbrush! Easy!
