She Spreads Out Her Shower Curtain On The Ground. But When She Transforms It Into THIS? Brilliant!

I recently moved into a new home and found myself looking to add some personality to it with some wall art. As it turns out, finding some nice wall art isn’t that easy. Maybe I’m just too picky but it’s fairly rare that I’ll see a piece of art and think “THIS speaks to me! I must have it!” And when it finally does happen, I’ll look at the price tag and think “THIS will bankrupt me! I wish I never saw it in the first place!” Consequently, take a wild guess how much artwork I have hanging on my walls? Here’s a hint: you can count the total number on less than one hand.

But perhaps there’s another way? Perhaps if I cast my net a bit wider, I’ll be able to find some incredible wall art that won’t burn a huge hole in my wallet.

So meet Kati Heifner, DIY extraordinaire and lover of Pinterest. Kati had a large barren wall in her living room that was in dire need of some artwork. But what exactly could she put on there? While perusing Pinterest, she saw something that piqued her interest: an octopus shower curtain by Thomas Paul. She fell in love with it except for the fact that it was a shower curtain. But that didn’t stop Kati from using her creative noggin’. With some help from her four-legged furry friends, Kati created the perfect wall art for her living room and she did it all without spending a fortune.

If you want to try this out, here’s what you’ll need:

  • Shower curtain with some awesome artwork on it
  • 2 pieces of wood: 2″ x 1″ x 70″ (top and bottom)
  • 4 Pieces of wood: 2″x1″x68″ (sides and middle support)
  • Nails or screws

Kati mentioned that she got her wood from Home Depot and they cut it to size for free! Score!
