But what about a mystery illness that seems to have come out of nowhere, with symptoms that just keep getting worse? Simon O’kanada’s son was chronically ill and nobody could figure out why. But after noticing a foul odour coming from his son’s sippy cup, Simon became very suspicious of the leak-proof spout. It’s a feature that makes sippy cups so convenient, but it’s also completely sealed. Simon pried it open and to his absolute horror, it was completely covered in mold! His son had been drinking from a disgusting, moldy cup!
His friend Penny took a picture of the horrifying discovery and posted it on social media, and it has gone viral. Simon’s son was using a sippy cup from Tommy Tippee but it should be noted that many other brands use the same design. As you probably already know, mold can cause a variety of health problems, including respiratory issues, throat irritation, sinus infections, and skin irritation.
