Have you ever seen a sloth? These guys live in trees and are some of the slowest moving animals on earth! What happens when a orphaned baby sloth gets hungry or an adult sloth loses its habitat? Yiscel Yángüez and Néstor Correa have come to the rescue! They run an animal rescue center in Gambia, Panama that specializes in just that. [googlead]
National Geographic has put together a wonderful video showing how these 2 amazing people run the center and show the bittersweet experience of rehabilitating and releasing these baby orphans.
Video was produced and photographed by National Geographic Emerging Explorer Lucy Cooke. Her Sloth Appreciation Society website is here.
