I love fancy schmancy food and all but there’s nothing quite like fresh-baked bread! It’s so simple and honest yet so delicious and versatile. I have a few friends who bake their own bread at home but I’ve never tried to make it myself. I always thought it was too complicated. But apparently, I was wrong. Thanks to North Carolina Prepper, we have a way to make fresh bread in a slowcooker! [googlead]All you need to do is make the dough, put it into your slowcooker with some parchment paper, set it to high and let it do its thing for 2 hours! Here’s what you you’ll need:

  • 1 teaspoon active dry yeast
  • 1.5 teaspoon salt
  • 1.5 cups warm water
  • 3+ cups flour
  • parchment paper (not wax!)
