With technology continuously changing and improving every single day, it’s amazing what a little gadget (or any other object, for that matter) can do to better communication and social relationships. Before, we were amazed to know that sending a gift to someone in another country would wind up safely in their arms in a mere few weeks. Today, however, it’s possible to do so much more in a very little amount of time. And this touching story is a testament thereof.
Amanda Fields is a mother and wife, whose husband is on active duty. And one afternoon, she and her six-year old daughter, Amaya, visited a garage sale where they bought a few items. The young girl was lucky enough to find three precious teddy bears to take home, but one of these bears managed to gain more attention than the other two. This is because it was a special bear that contained a prerecorded message from father to his child. The voice belonged to a man that was serving his country in Afghanistan at the time, and thus made the bear and its message that much more heartfelt.
Amanda knew that she had to do something, as she knows just how hard it can be when a husband and father has to leave his family to fight in a war. For that reason, she posted several pictures, writing, and videos to various social media platforms in the hope of finding the bear’s rightful owner. Today, she is getting considerably closer, admitting that she may have lead to a family in California.
We hope that by sharing this video and story, Amanda can get closer to the owner and make a family’s day by returning the little bear with the touching voice recording.
