8-Year-Old Boy With Autism Does ‘Thriller’ Dance

“‘Cause this is thriller, thriller night! And no one’s gonna save you from the beast about to strike!”

If you somehow don’t recognize those lyrics, they’re from one of the greatest songs of all time: Thriller by Michael Jackson. Thriller was released back in 1982 and its Halloween-inspired video made its debut on MTV a year later. To this day, it remains one of the most iconic songs and videos in music history. Jackson’s sleek zombie dance moves are just as impressive today as they were decades ago. Need proof? Look no further than this young boy’s rendition of Thriller that’s taking the internet by storm…

A cottage leasing company put on a webcam contest, asking participants to show off their best dance moves. When 8-year-old William Ryan heard about this, he knew exactly what he had to do: Thriller.

On a Facebook comment, William’s mother Gemma wrote: “Three years ago, when William was five he was diagnosed with autism. He struggled to communicate, struggled academically in school and continues to struggle to socialise and make friends, but about 18 months ago his dad introduced him (via YouTube) to the wonders of Michael Jackson and he watched his videos for hours on end and learnt all his routines off by heart.”

It was William’s time to shine, and did he ever. William won the competition and now the video is going viral! Everyone loves it!
