He Squeezes Dish Soap Into His Toilet. But When You See Why… IMPOSSIBLE!

Chances are that you’ve experienced a clogged toilet at some point in your life. Most of the time, the easiest way to unclog your toilet is by using a plunger… except when you don’t have a plunger. “Why don’t you have a plunger?” I don’t know, I just don’t, okay? “So go out and buy one!” Okay smart guy, maybe the shops are closed? Maybe the shops are far and I don’t have a car? Stop judging me! So… how do you unclog a toilet in these horribly embarrassing situations? Normally, I just pray that the problem goes away by itself but apparently there’s another way.

Thanks to the people at Build.com, we have a great and easy technique to get your toilet back in working order. It’s not a fool-proof method but it’s definitely worth a shot!

So how the heck do you deal with a clogged toilet sans-plunger? You take some dish soap and you squeeze a generous amount into your toilet bowl. You’ll notice that the weight of the liquid will cause it to sink to the bottom of the toilet and seep into the clog, lubricating the trapway. Then you take some hot water and carefully pour it into the toilet bowl, making sure you don’t let it overflow! With a bit of luck, the clog should start to make its way through the trapway and free itself. Hooray! Once you see the water level go down, give your toilet one more flush and your day is officially saved!
