Twin Baby Boys Dance To “Folsom Prison Blues” By Johnny Cash, 3 Years Later, They Do It Again

Every child has a favorite song. For some kids, it’s “The Itsy Bitsy Spider.” Other children enjoy soft, acoustic lullabies. For me as a child? It was “All the Small Things” by Blink-182 and “Blue (Da Ba Dee)” by Eiffel 65.

Exploring music growing up gives us the opportunity to express ourselves, find out what we like and don’t like, and discover our identity. Music can also help us overcome boredom, relax when we’re mad or anxious, and fall asleep. Generally, throughout our whole lives, music tends to play a prominent role.

Like most kids, one-year-old twins, Reese and Levi, already had a thing for music. In fact, one of their all-time favorite tunes to dance to was Johnny Cash’s song, “Folsom Prison Blues.” While the boys are now eight-years-old today, a video of them filmed and posted online by their dad, Rod Long, will forever capture the boys’ bonding moment to their most treasured song.

In the video, the boys are in blue exercise jumpers, happily jumping around and dancing to the beat of the 1955 tune. While this song doesn’t have the happiest of lyrics, the way the boys’ faces light up while busting their moves makes the song plenty more cheerful!

Even though the little guys are twins, what’s interesting is that Levi and Reese have their own preference in dances moves. The baby on the left enjoys hopping to and fro while the baby on the right seems to favor hopping in place. Either way, their combination of moves makes for a great performance, even when they aren’t in sync.

At one point in the video, the brothers laugh. Ironically, the lyrics to the song are a bit dark. Good thing the boys can’t comprehend just yet!

Surely, the lyrics don’t phase the youngsters. From the start to the end of the song, Reece and Levi continue dancing. Whew, what a great workout building up those little leg muscles!

Watch the one-year-olds get their groove on below.

Because the twins’ video was a success, reaching over 3,500,000 views, Roy decided to film the boys dancing to the song again at the age of four.

According to one commenter, “So nice to see them all grown up. The baby video will always be one of my top five favorite videos on youtube ever. It puts a huge smile on my face every time.”

Check out Reese and Levi rockin’ out to Johnny Cash three years later in this next video! They’ve still got the moves!
