NTJ. Dont back down. My mother treated us the same way. Your story brought tears to my eyes with the helpless feelings of a child stuck in a boiling hot car. Long time ago and it still makes makes me cry. I am almost 80 yrs old and some memories dont fade.
The Vietnam War is a deal-breaker on this relationship. I am sorry for the loss of your Grandmother. I am also sorry for the loss of my BIL. BOTH were killed in that horrible war.
