Honestly, there are places where it's pronounced Ar-kansas. I lived in Wichita, and the Arkansas River passes through town and is called the Ar-kansas by everyone there - probably out of local chauvinism, but still. I'm under the impression that everyone pronounced it Ar-kansas until after the Civil War.
I know I saw this in a different Metaspoon thread.
You can't request a new passport without turning your old one in. Yet another obvious lie on top of all the others.
If this is so huge and such a popular site, I want to know what it is so I can read it. Even if it's offline now, it should be available via archive.org.
