You are better than me and I commend you for that. There’s no way my partner and I would be living with his mother after that. She’d be lucky if we ever even spoke to her again. I pray that sooner than later you realize that her behavior is unacceptable and y’all leave her house and never look back. Being related doesn’t mean someone can treat you like crap and I wish more people would realize this.

Molly, I live in Pa and worked in the restaurant business for a little over ten years. There were no such thing as breaks. No 15’s and definitely no lunch. You might be able to run outside for a 5 min smoke but that’s only if you have someone to watch over your tables and/or your tables were just checked on by you and likely won’t need anything for that 5 mins. You eat on the fly. Which means you put your food in the server station and just take a bite every time you walk by it. Many people have tried to challenge it with the labor board but were told it’s completely legal, unless you’re a minor.
