NTJ AT ALL! I know people with both the names Griffin and Phoenix. No Valkyrie's though, for the record, lol. Not that it matters. They aren't SO different as to be bulky worthy, as you said. The names mean something to YOU and you love them. Stick with the. If your children don't love them, they can go by their middle names or change their names later.
I am a huge proponent of not telling people the name until after they are born. People will tear apart or give all kinds of opinions on names before the baby is born, but usually stay more respectful after they are here. They might talk a little but not nearly as much as before the baby is born.
Agreed. I kind of get the feeling that the OP has more issues with his mom and wife might be taking her cues from him, just the way this whole thing reads. SOME thing is missing here, or these people are just.... off.
He had a "talk" with her after several incidents... if that (or any) conversation was going to work, she wouldn't have made jokes about sabotaging your wedding. The fact that she has proves she hasn't learned a lesson. The fact that he is aware of her "jokes" about your wedding and still wants to invite her shows exactly what your life will be with him- he may stand up for you in the moment, but he will always cave to her in the end.
