Why do the commenters actually believe this drivel. Utter nonsense.
Not the same situation but pretty close. A neighbor went on vacation and his house alarm triggered. Hour after hour for 2 days the siren blared. Nobody knew how to reach the neighbor. Another neighbor quietly took his hunting rifle and from a bedroom window shot the siren. The silence was blissful.
