ESH. Linda and James should have realized that Sophie wasn't ready for this kind of interaction and are TJs for putting you in this position. But YTJ for kicking them out in front of Sophie who almost certainly has abandonment issues. YTJ also for acting like Sophie is a bad kid when she's blatantly a traumatized one. I bet anything that the reason she was "weird" around your husband was because she was molested. You shouldn't have to put up with your stuff being damaged but you could stand to be a lot more compassionate.
NTJ. I'm mentally ill and can't work because of it. What that means is I need to work on my disability application, see my psychiatrist and therapist regularly, take my meds religiously, and practice the coping techniques I learned in cognitive behavioral therapy. I sometimes have to ask for help with these things but what I can't do is throw in the towel. It's one thing to support someone who is trying to get better, it's something completely different to be responsible for someone who makes themself worse.

Normally I would say YTJ to someone lying about food allergies, but in this case, NTJ. The restaurant obviously lied about the deep clean since that's not necessary, they fraudulently charged your parents hundreds of dollars, they're too stupid to not put butter on broccolli, and didn't remake your pasta after "accidentally" putting cheese in it. In fact, I bet they put the dairy on your food deliberately to mess with the vegan.
